About me
I am a transformational coach, campaign strategist and writer. I embed systems thinking and strategic communications in my work. I believe in the power of people, movements and organizations to think creatively and transform the world.
I grew up in a political household in what is now Nigel Farage’s constituency in the UK. Together with learning Spanish from a very young age, I have always been passionate about justice, relationships and how communications, storytelling and language bring people together and change the world.
After an encounter with the Zapatistas in 2001 I become involved with the anti-globalisation movement. Since then I have spent almost 20 years leading teams and building multi-country social and environmental justice campaigns and programs for NGOs from Greenpeace to Oxfam.
As an ICF-accredited coach, I have helped leaders from across the corporate and non-profit sectors to achieve their goals from starting new businesses to winning campaigns.
I led the campaign that made age discrimination illegal in the UK, managed Greenpeace and Oxfam digital strategies that mobilized millions and secured climate commitments from Procter & Gamble and Kellogg, and introduced Global Witness’s first successful planning and evaluation toolset.
As Deputy Director of Media, Campaigns and Public Engagement at ActionAid UK, I co-created a record-breaking anti-racist ActionAid crowdfunder with activists in Ghana and built a successful UK-wide feminist community organizing function for ActionAid UK.
Working for the Multicultural Leadership Initiative and supported by the Climate and Land Use Alliance, I was the lead writer and creator of Uncommon Sense, a systems-led strategic communications toolkit for changemakers.
I’m passionate about biomimicry, complexity thinking and indigenous methods of inquiry. I’m fluent in Spanish and highly proficient in Portuguese. I am also a committed anti-racist and intersectional feminist.
